CompassionCare Hospice is always looking for opportunities to make presentations in the community—not only to explain our program, but also to share our expertise about topics such as understanding grief, coping with the stress of being a caregiver, and serving as a CompassionCare Hospice volunteer.
Each year we make hundreds of presentations at a wide variety of events held during the daytime, evenings, and on weekends. Here are examples of groups and events to which we make presentations:
- Civic groups
- Faith communities
- United Way and CFC fund drives
- Career Days held at schools (health careers)
- Senior Health Fairs held at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, shopping malls
- Community-wide celebrations
All presentations, which are free of charge, are made by staff and volunteers. Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Hospice Care: Introduction and Overview
- Caregiver Issues
- Death and Dying
- Children’s Grief
- Volunteerism
- Grief and Bereavement: Understanding the Grief Process
- The Spirituality Challenge of Hospice Care
We also would be happy to design a presentation to meet the individual needs of your group. Please contact us at: 702-636-0200.
